Water Candle No. 007 The Celestial Observatory The Black Hollow Water Candle Collection By Ember & Earth "The stars were never outside... they were waiting within."
đź–¤ The Story
At the highest point of Black Hollow stood a magnificent observatory crowned with a glass dome.
Each night its astronomers charted constellations unknown to the modern world.
Their journals described stars that appeared only above Black Hollow—constellations that vanished the moment one left the estate.
When the Curators finally reached the observatory, the telescope was still aimed toward the heavens.
No dust covered the brass.
No glass had broken.
The stars had simply...
Stopped.
Unable to preserve the entire observatory, they rescued its heart and suspended it beneath crystal-clear water.
